Discipline a.k.a. How long can I keep this up?

Dear reader if you have read my past posts or just look at the dates you can tell I am less than diligent about blogging. Well this is the year for change "2009" going into "2010". I promise to update my blogs weekly. May God be with me!

Who are we?

Hello,

We are the Dovian Group, LLC an Interior Decorating and Home Staging company formally established in March 2006. We assist homeowners by transforming their current homes into havens they are pleased to inhabit.

The name Dovian is comprised of the names of three sisters (Do)ris, (Vi)cky, and (An)ita. It was conjured in the mid 1980’s when the sisters sewed and participated in fashion shows in the D.C. area. The creative juices never stopped flowing Doris is an accomplished Graphic Designer who owns a printing and graphics firm, as well as Vice President of Dovian. Vicky currently retired creates decorative angel crafts. Anita left the telecommunications industry in July 2007 after over twenty years and works as a Home Stager and Interior Decorator full-time.

When working with a homeowner who stages to live, our primary objective is to assist the owner with enjoying their living space to the fullest. Nothing evokes the spirit of contentment like a well-defined living space.

When working with Sellers and Real Estate agents the objective shifts to providing potential buyers with a sense of the potential that a pre-owned home can offer them by giving them the model-home experience. We assist Homeowners, Home sellers and Real Estate agents with the following services:

o Color Consultation
o Furniture and Accessory Rental
o Window Treatment Selection
o Art selection and installation
o Room redesign
o Contractor referrals

Our home office is in Laurel, Maryland, we service the following Maryland counties, Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Howard, Montgomery, and Prince George’s and Washington, D.C.

I'm Bacccck!

Hello everyone,

I have not posted here since 2006! What the heck have I been doing? First, I left my job at George Washington University in July 2007, after establishing my interior decorating and home staging business and juggling both. I am happy about my decision now it is time to speak to the masses. I just love creating art. Above are the before and after photos for a condo I staged in Baltimore, Maryland in February 2008. How's that for transformation?

OMG, I just started scrapbooking yesterday, March 5, 2008. This day will probably go down in infamy as the day I lost my mind and spent all my money on supplies. I got the idea in my head to design a book that showcases before and after photos to market my business, it's cool but I declare this has turned into a mild obsession! I cannot wait to spend like three hours scrapbooking uninterrupted.
